HOW WILL THE SITE BE DIFFERENT TO THE OTHER  INTERNATIONAL  SITES ALREADY  ESTABLISHED ?

IT WILL ENCOURAGE DIRECT CONTACT OUTSIDE THE SITE.

AustralianSteel.com will not require or encourage business to be done through the site.  Rather it assumes that in a market as small as the Australian and NZ markets, most buyers already know most of their prospective suppliers and would prefer to deal on the phone, by fax or in person.

IT WILL INCLUDE ALL REGIONAL STEEL SUPPLIERS 

All regional steel manufacturers, traders, stockists and processors will be able to list basic details without charge. All records and company information will kept up to date and all changes will be made immediately on notice being received. (without charge)   Parties outside the region (eg Asia, Europe etc) who wish to have a presence in the region may pay to also appear on the site.

IT WILL NOT EXPECT COMMISSIONS TO BE PAID ON DEALS DONE.

Since the site will encourage direct contact and business outside the site it will not be able to manage commissions being paid on business introduced from the site. It will not attempt to, but instead will earn all revenue from advertising space in various different formats and enhancements on the site. 

THE EMPHASIS  WILL BE ON VALUE  AND SMALL OVERHEADS.

The site will not mount expensive advertising campaigns to increase its exposure and will not charge for various of its services till it is able to offer value in terms of exposure to a high volume of site visitors.  

IS THERE ANY COST TO APPEAR ?

All regional steel suppliers whether they be manufacturers, traders or  stockists/merchants  can appear without charge.   Information will include supplier physical address and phone/fax number. Email and website addresses/links will also be included.

Information on the site although subject to copyright by Australiansteel.com is generally freely available from public sources.
